What We Do

Our Services

At Myrtle House, everything we do is rooted in care, community, and hope. Our work spans a wide range of services that bring practical support, connection, and opportunity to people across Llanelli and beyond.

  • Through the Food Project, we provide dignity led emergency food support through Llanelli Foodbank, alongside community meals and welcoming Community Life Hubs. Food support is always linked to wider guidance, connection, and pathways forward.

  • Our Money Support Project supports individuals and families to improve financial stability through a wraparound, person centred approach. This includes help with budgeting, debt and welfare matters, and navigating systems, integrated with food support, wellbeing provision, and community connection.

  • The Community Connections project helps to reduce isolation and support mental wellbeing through peer-led groups, creative activity, and welcoming spaces where people can connect and belong.

  • At Myrtle House Nursery we support families through high quality childcare and parent and toddler provision, recognising the importance of early support for children’s development, parental wellbeing, and long term resilience.

  • The Pathways Project is a community-led programme that brings people together through affordable meals, skills, volunteering, and wraparound support to build confidence, connection, and long term resilience.

Our Projects

Our work is delivered under five inter-connected projects, which together reflect our commitment to supporting people and families at every stage of life and creating lasting, positive change.

The Food Project

The Food Project offers practical, dignified support for people who are struggling to afford food or essential household items. Through Llanelli Foodbank’s referral-based emergency parcels, care packages with toiletries and household basics, pay-what-you-can community meals, access to surplus food via our Community Shop, and free snacks and refreshments at Warm Hub sessions, we help ensure no one goes without. This support is available through our Community Life Hubs and The Community Table.

Money Support Project

The Money Support Project offers confidential, understanding guidance when finances feel overwhelming. Whether you’re dealing with debt, navigating benefits, or trying to manage your budget, our team provides one-to-one support, practical advice, and access to drop-ins with CMA Connect - Myrtle House, alongside signposting for housing, legal support, and grants. Support is available through drop-ins or by appointment, with no judgement—just practical help when you need it.

Community Connections

Community Connections supports health and wellbeing by offering safe, friendly spaces where people can connect and feel supported. If you’re feeling isolated, anxious, or simply in need of company, our activities include mental health drop-ins, creative workshops, friendship sessions, movement classes for over 55s, and relaxed coffee mornings. No referral is needed—just turn up and join in.

Myrtle House Nursery

Myrtle House Nursery supports families at every stage, from babies to grandparents. We offer trusted early years care, holiday clubs, and welcoming parent and toddler groups, alongside practical help such as food, care packages, and wellbeing support. When extra help is needed, we can also connect families with partner services for housing, financial guidance, and emotional support. Drop into a hub or get in touch to find out more.

Pathways Project

The Pathways Project offers supportive, engaging learning that builds confidence, hope, and independence. Through practical workshops, creative groups, employment support drop-ins, and volunteering opportunities, we help people develop skills, discover strengths, and move forward at their own pace. Our pathways are shaped around each person, with encouragement, dignity, and a strong sense of community.

One Mission, Many Ways to Support Our Community

While our projects and services are diverse, they are united by one shared purpose: to serve, support, and strengthen our community.

Together, our projects enable us to respond to immediate challenges, prevent future hardship, and create opportunities for people to thrive.
