Our Impact

Support works best when its local, relational and connected.

We don’t just deliver services - we build community.

At Myrtle House, we see people — not just the challenges they face. Through practical support, food and family services, money guidance, shared meals, and welcoming community spaces, we help people move toward stability, dignity, and renewed connection.

More Than Numbers—It’s About Transformation

The numbers matter — but the stories behind them matter more. Each meal shared, conversation held, and piece of practical support given represents someone taking a step toward stability. We see people grow in confidence, rebuild security, and reconnect with community. That’s the transformation we work for every day.

Impact Shaped by Lived Experience

Impact Story

One member of our lived experience group first came to Myrtle House for practical support during a period of crisis. Through food support, community connection, and wider guidance, their situation became more stable and their confidence grew.

They are now actively involved in shaping how our services work — helping us improve access, welcome, and dignity across our Community Life Hubs and support programmes.

Their insight has directly influenced how we design support, reduce barriers, and respond to real needs — ensuring our services are shaped not only by policy, but by lived reality.

Lasting Change

Behind every project is a person. Within every person is potential. Together, we are building stronger communities rooted in care, dignity, and hope.

Coordinated Support Leading to Safety and Stability

Impact Story

A community member came to Myrtle House during a period of serious housing insecurity and poor mental health. They were living in unsafe conditions, felt vulnerable in their home environment, and were becoming increasingly isolated and distressed.

With their consent, our team made a referral to specialist housing support services. A dedicated support worker was assigned and worked in partnership with Myrtle House to understand the situation and prioritise safer accommodation closer to the person’s support network.

Within a few months, suitable sheltered housing was secured locally, allowing the individual to relocate to Llanelli and remain connected to Myrtle House community support.

Since moving, they have settled well, regularly attend community activities, and continue to access wraparound support. They report feeling safe in their home and have experienced clear improvements in wellbeing and mental health.

This story shows the difference that coordinated, partnership based support can make — combining local relationships with specialist services to achieve practical, life changing outcomes.
