Friendship Centre

A wonderful opportunity to connect with both old and new friends within a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment

The Friendship Centre is a cornerstone of Myrtle House’s commitment to fostering social inclusion and combating loneliness. Designed as a safe and welcoming space, the Friendship Centre offers individuals the opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and engage in enjoyable activities.

It provides a place where people of all ages can relax, socialise, and take part in fun, low-pressure activities in a friendly environment.

Dance & Movement Class

The Dance & Movement Class at the Friendship Centre offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals to enhance their mobility and overall well-being in a supportive, social setting. Under the expert guidance of Frances Flower, participants can engage in enjoyable and beneficial activities that promote a healthier lifestyle while building connections within the community. Whether you are looking to improve your physical health or simply want to meet new friends, the Movement Class is a perfect place to start!

Focus on Mobility and Well-Being

The class emphasises improving participants' mobility, posture, and coordination. Through a series of gentle exercises and movements, individuals can enhance their physical capabilities while reducing the risk of falls and injuries. The class is designed to be accessible for all fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can benefit from the activities offered.

Accessible to All

It is open to individuals of all ages, but it particularly caters to older adults who may be looking for a gentle way to stay active. Whether someone has previous dance experience or is new to movement, all are welcome to join. The focus is on inclusivity and ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported in their pursuit of improved health.
