Voices of Change
A space where lived experience is shared, listened to, and used to improve how support works.
Community Voice in Action
As part of our work to understand and improve the impact of Llanelli Foodbank and our wider community support, we developed a short film series called Voices of Change. The project brings forward the voices of local people with lived experience of hardship, creating space for honest reflection and shared learning.
Through these films, participants share their experiences of navigating financial pressure, food insecurity, and support systems. Their stories help move the conversation beyond statistics — highlighting the real-life barriers people face and the practical changes that make support more effective and more accessible.
Voices of Change is part of our community organising approach: creating platforms where lived experience informs public understanding, service improvement, and local action. By listening to community voice, we strengthen accountability, reduce stigma, and support more responsive, place based solutions.
PLEASE NOTE
** These films include honest and sensitive personal stories that touch on suicidal thoughts and emotional distress. Please be mindful of your own wellbeing as you watch, and take breaks or watch with someone you trust if that feels right for you.**
