Our Approach
Building Community Strength and Stability
Myrtle House is a local community organisation strengthening stability and resilience through practical, joined up support. Our work brings together food support, early years care, money guidance, community meals, skills and wellbeing activities, and lived experience leadership in one connected model.
We support people facing immediate hardship through our Foodbank and Community Life Hubs, while also helping them access longer term pathways — including financial resilience, community connection, learning, and family support. Emergency help is a starting point, not the end of the journey.
Our services are shaped through partnership working and lived experience insight, so support is practical, respectful, and grounded in real needs.
This is how we build community resilience — locally and for the long term.
Our Model
Over time, Myrtle House has developed a community hub model that brings together crisis support, practical guidance, and community connection in one place.
Our Vision
A hopeful, resilient, and connected community where everyone can access the support, opportunities, and relationships they need to develop and reach their full potential.
