Creating Connection for Parents and Carers

One parent first attended a Parent and Toddler group looking for a safe place to spend time with their child and connect with others.

The group provides a secure, welcoming learning environment for young children, while offering parents, grandparents, and carers the chance to build relationships and share experiences. For many, it becomes an important point of connection during a time when support can feel limited.

Grandparents in particular value the group as a place where they can care for their grandchildren while spending time with others in a similar position. Through shared play, conversation, and routine, friendships form and confidence grows.

This story reflects how Parent and Toddler groups support families beyond early learning — reducing isolation, strengthening relationships, and helping carers feel more supported in their role.
